Beaverly Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 15, 2026

1. Introduction

Beaverly ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information. We follow a "Local-First" approach, meaning your data stays with you.

2. Data Collection and Storage

2.1 Local Storage (The Core Principle)

All personal data, tasks, logs, and notes you enter are stored locally on your device’s internal memory. We do not transmit this data to our servers, and we do not have access to it.

2.2 No Account Requirement

You are not required to create an account or provide an email address to use the core features of the App.

3. Third-Party Services and Data Transfers

While we do not store your data, certain interactions involve third parties:

  • Cloud Backups: If you choose to export your data to services like Google Drive, iCloud, or Dropbox, your data is subject to their respective privacy policies. We never see your login credentials or your backup files.
  • Analytics & Crashes: We do not use any third-party analytics or crash reporting tools. We do not track how you interact with the application.

4. Your Rights and Control

Regardless of your location, we provide the following controls:

  • Access & Portability: You can export all your data at any time via the "Export" setting.
  • Erasure: You can delete all your data by clearing the app cache or uninstalling the app.
  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

5. Regional Disclosures

5.1 For European Union Residents (GDPR)

The legal basis for processing your data is Contractual Necessity. Under the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (e.g., CNPD in Portugal).

5.2 For California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information as defined by California law. Your data is stored locally under your direct control.

6. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). Because all data is stored locally on the device, we have no way of identifying or remotely collecting information from any user.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or our app. The "Last Updated" date at the top will indicate when changes were made.
